Following the IRIB’s plan to renew Iran’s broadcasting structure, this project has been established in a local IRIB office in Kerman. The project is based on MPEG-2 technology and 3+1 redundancy scheme, which enables the system to work smoothly in the absence of one encoder, one multiplexer and/or one modulator.
