Following the global analogue switch off, IRIB as the only TV and radio broadcaster in Iran, has decided to put its efforts to provide the audiences with the most recent services based on the state-of-the-art DTV technologies. Employing MPEG-4 as the encoding standard, places IRIB as the second major broadcaster using this novel standard around the globe. S.A.P has been honoured to accompany the IRIB in their steps towards the path of DTV.

Towards reaching IRIB’s vision, S.A.P has established the first DTV head-end containing two sets of high-tech MPEG-4 compression systems. This system is HD-enabled and IP-based which makes it capable of implementing IPTV in future expansions.
