The solution featured in this project is based upon the architecture of 1+1 uplinks. Two uplinks are considered in the project, one uses MPEG-2 and the other one brings MPEG-4 into play. Both uplinks accept a TV and two radio channels as their input.

The 1+1 redundancy scheme allows the uplinks to tolerate failures of single encoder, a modulator or an HPA hence the output service would be more sustained.
